Some courses require you to find a mentor or peer. A mentor should be a qualified expert in the topic of your stg-nextgenuorg-stage.kinsta.cloud course — they might be a professor at your university who is offering this training as a course under their supervision, a local practicing professional who is willing to spend some time teaching you, or someone remotely who you’ve identified through your networks.
The requirements for a suitable mentor are:
- They should have successfully completed the training you are taking.
- They should have >=1 year’s practical experience in the field of the training you are taking.
- They are willing to mentor.

A peer can be someone who is taking the course with you. Invite a friend or co-worker to take the course with you or contact us and we may connect you with a pool of potential peers so that you can complete the peer activities.
Every learner has full access to course materials, but some courses have academic prerequisites for obtaining a certificate. For example, Emergency Medicine is a course for advanced practice healthcare providers who may intubate patients. To earn a certificate, a learner should be studying to become a physician, advanced practice nurse, or physician assistant. Other courses, such as Epidemiology, require a bachelor’s degree to receive the certificate. For a full list of course requirements see the home page for the course.
Everything from registration to coursework, peer interactions, testing, and provision of a certificate are all free.
Engaging with Courses
You may browse all courses for free to learn for your personal enrichment; there are no requirements.
To obtain a certificate
- Show in the registration fields that you have the appropriate prerequisites to be certified. The prerequisites are different from course to course. Read the course homepage to find out what is required.
- Complete all the reading requirements.
- Complete all quizzes and pass with a 70% with unlimited attempts. Nursing courses require a pass rate of 80%
- Some courses have peer or mentor activities that must be completed. Check each course homepage for specific information.
- Successfully complete the final exam with a minimum of 70% and a maximum of 3 attempts. Nursing courses require an 80% and an alternate exam may be offered.
- Complete the self and course evaluation forms.
To obtain credit
- Complete all requirements listed above for the certificate.
- Your learning institution or workplace should approve the stg-nextgenuorg-stage.kinsta.cloud course for educational credit, as they would for their learner taking a course anywhere. Obtain this approval before taking the course if you intend to request credit from your academic institution.
- stg-nextgenuorg-stage.kinsta.cloud is happy to provide your institution with:
- A link to and description of the course training, so they can see all its components, including the cosponsoring universities and other professional organization cosponsors;
- Your grade on the final exam;
- Your work products (e.g. peer and mentored activities), and any other required or optional shared materials that you produce and authorize to share with them;
- Your evaluations — course, self, and peer assessments;
- A copy of your certificate of completion, with the co-sponsoring universities and other organizations listed.
- Many courses have been approved for continuing education credits. This is stated on the course home page. You can obtain that credit for free.
stg-nextgenuorg-stage.kinsta.cloud also co-sponsors degree programs with institutional partners. To obtain a degree co-sponsored with stg-nextgenuorg-stage.kinsta.cloud, registrants must be enrolled in a degree program as a student of the institutional partner.
